Question 1 DRAFT
We chose to name our thriller Harrow Wood because harrow means a cause to distress, and this is what character Billy is experiencing in a woodland, therefore it links to the narrative of our production. This is also a reflection of how the audience may feel at times during our production because of the techniques we've used to construct anxiety and intensity.
A thorough response but a tendency to ignore the question.
ReplyDeleteEach section should begin .... Locations: I used the convention of isolated locations.....
Costume: I used the convention of the hoodie stereotype who is associated with deviant behaviour, for example ...
Archetypes: We challenged the gender archetypes ..
This is the main issue, you go into a lot of detail explaining aspects of mise-en-scene but move away from what the question is asking.
Another edition: We used the conventions of the opening to a film by including the name of the film company...... actors ...... etc.
We also used the convention of integrating diegetic sound with the soundtrack in order to add realism. This is a convention of film language. Another convention of film language is adding a sound track which suggests menace heightens suspense.
Only if you have time I would present this in sections emphasising how you used, developed or challenged the CONVENTIONS OF THE GENRE and the conventions of film language, for example fast cuts to increase tension, colour alteration.
But only if you have time.
